Kawah Rengganis is one of the natural tourist destinations that attracts both domestic and international tourists. Especially those who love challenges and adventure. At this place, not only can visitors enjoy epic views, but they can also soak in hot springs.
Bandung is a must-visit tourist city during holidays.
Why?
This area offers a variety of beauty from end to end. The air, the natural atmosphere, and the mist that envelops it make your heart reluctant to leave. It’s truly healing, right? You'll never get bored!
The name Rengganis has recently gained attention because locals are more familiar with it as Cibuni. So, if you ever get lost looking for this place, you can ask the locals. If they don’t recognize the name Kawah Rengganis, just mention Kawah Cibuni—they might be more familiar with that.
This name change happened because of a change in management in the Ciwidey area. With new management, this tourist attraction has been improved.
Many tourists wonder, what's the difference between Ciwidey Crater and Rengganis Crater? After all, they are both craters, right? In reality, there is no difference. Both craters were naturally formed due to the eruption of Mount Patuha. Nature is amazing, creating chaos but also offering happiness to those who enjoy it. The only difference is that Kawah Putih (White Crater) has white sand, and the water color sometimes changes, while Kawah Rengganis looks like a typical crater.
Kawah Rengganis offers a very lush environment, surrounded by tall trees, adding to its natural beauty. Also, you won’t smell the strong sulfur odor here.
Next, there's the crater’s water. This place is suitable for bathing and serves as health therapy. The crater is traversed by a fairly clean river, which is safe for soaking.
Additionally, you can relax here because the crater’s water also comes from a hot spring. The tranquility and peace will seep deep into your bones. The sulfur content can even heal skin conditions. The river's flow is also used at the Cimanggu Hot Springs. Another reason to visit this place is the spa facility. There are two small geysers or hot springs that shoot upward here.
These geysers create a large amount of steam, allowing you to enjoy a natural sauna bath. Experience a unique way to enjoy a hot sauna directly in nature.
Kawah Rengganis also has mud areas. It is said that this mud has special benefits, such as tightening and smoothing the skin. So, it’s the best natural therapy for women. If I'm not mistaken, it's called a mud bath.
From a photography perspective, you can also enjoy the various formations of smoking natural rocks. The smoke emerges from underground, creating a scene you wouldn’t want to miss.
